cascader not clearing placeholder when selecting via model

      Steps to Reproduce

      create a cascader with placeholder, model and initially no selection
      call addToSelection on model

      Current Result

      item is selected -> OK
      placeholder text remains visible -> ERROR

      Expected Result

      when an item is selected the placeholder text should disappear
