Steps to Reproduce

run the example and change the browser width / height

Actual Result

when increasing the width of the browser quickly the splitter sometimes changes its width
reducing the browser height causes temporarily causes a vertical scrollbar leaving a gap on the right of the layout

Expected Result

no resizing splitter handle
no gap on the right
