Loading animation: remove on JS error (misleading for customers)
customers often report performance issues when the loading animation remains on their screen.
we need to give them a hint to check the JS/Network console so they can create a better bug report / support request

1. stop endless loading animation by giving a parameterized period
2. show specific error message to notify user to check browser console
