Typing in data in a cell is blocked with the dialog box seen in the attached screenshot when Japanese locale is chosen in the browser. It works fine when I choose English locale. It happens in both firefox and chrome. The problem happens in 2.2.0 and 2.3.0 freshly built released on 04-11-2012. The characters typing in really doesn't matter. UTF-8 is specified at the page directive. It is reproducible on ZSS demo page.
